WHY?
Art that uses high technology is often confined to small enclaves in urban areas. While this can lead to awesome works on the sides of under-used industrial buildings, it also means that many artists working outside large cities either end up having to move long distances, or living without a community to share their work with. The Pioneer Valley of Massachuetts is home to over a dozen institutions of higher learning, not to mention various vibrant towns and art enclaves. There are people here working in lighting, projection and sound without a place to share their work, or a community to work with. Valley Lux aims to create an event where all Pioneer Valley artists can come together and share what they’ve been up to.
It’s also going to be a great couple of days highlighting technology juxtaposed with nature in the coolest of ways, all with a backdrop of awesome music, food, and drinks to keep you going! COOL PROMO HERE – MORE ON THE WEBSITE
