By AVIVA LUTTRELL, Recorder Staff, Sunday, July 26, 2015, TURNERS FALLS — Unity Park Waterfront will be filled with the sound of music and drumming Saturday, Aug. 1, during the second annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival.
The free, all-day event is a celebration of Native American music, art and culture and will feature live music, drumming, dancing, storytelling, traditional children’s games and more. The festival is sponsored by the Nolumbeka Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Native Americans of New England, and Turners Falls RiverCulture.
