ArtWeek Boston, an annual award-winning festival featuring hundreds of unique and creative hands-on cultural experiences, has expanding statewide. The Town of Montague is enthusiastically participating in ArtWeek, with a full schedule of performances, exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations from April 27, 28, 29.

Sing Along. Learn how enslaved people secretly communicated with one another through song lyrics, and the early African, Caribbean, and African-American roots of the banjo. Your Exquisite Corpse: Interactive Exhibit

A collaborative and interactive exhibit based on the Surrealist game of Exquisite Corpse. Figure paintings of the Head/Shoulders and the Legs/Feet are executed by Nina Rossi and Jeff Wrench.
Short texts and poems will accompany each figure, also created by multiple writers. Visitors will have opportunities to interact with the event, including a chance to have the artists
and writers use them as inspiration.
