Sharing the Unique Sound of a Quality British Brass Band with the Public
The West Mass Brass Ensemble, a complement of 30 volunteer musicians playing in the British Brass Band tradition, will be performing an outdoor concert on Saturday, June 8 at the Peskeomskut Park bandshell, Avenue A and Seventh Street in Turners Falls. This free family event is scheduled from 2-3:30pm. Bring a folding chair. The program will feature notable hymns, marches and symphonic pieces of music:

Founded in 2014, West Mass Brass is made up of capable brass band players who enjoy playing a variety of music with other serious players from all over Western Mass and Southern CT. The band practices once a week, and is conducted by its founder, Ken McCance of Millers Falls, MA. West Mass Brass will also host additional performances at the Holyoke Soldiers Home at 2pm on Saturday, May 25, and at 7pm on Friday, June 14 at the Faith Community Chapel in Ludlow.
